Sass, Swing, and Standards with Marion Powers and the CJRO Sextet

Sass, swing, and unforgettable music take center stage as Marion Powers joins the CJRO Sextet for an evening of jazz standards.  Featuring music from the Great American Songbook, the program balances familiar favorites with inventive new arrangements. Many of the songs will be featured on the CJRO's upcoming fifth album, with Marion Powers and the Sextet. The band includes: Ben Paille (Trumpet), Drew Zaremba (Saxophone), Jared Cathey (Saxophone & Clarinet), Eric Gunnison (Piano), Gonzalo Teppa (Bass), and Alejandro Castaño (Drums).

"Sax, Swing and Standards" is part of the CJRO Sunday Sessions at Dazzle. Presented on the fourth Sunday of every month, each concert features a fresh theme and many of your favorite jazz artists.
