CJRO's newest album has been released!

The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra released their new album on March 4 with two fantastic concerts featuring Robert Johnson and Marion Powers at the Arvada Center and Lone Tree Arts Center. Titled “Compared to What with Larry Braggs” the recording takes the band into the genre of soul along with fresh arrangements of some familiar (and not so familiar!) jazz numbers. Many of you may be familiar with Braggs from CJRO concerts with him the past two years at the Arvada Center’s Amphitheatre. However, he is known internationally as the former lead singer for Tower of Power as well as touring with the Temptations. Bringing him onto the album came about from those two concerts which led to conversations with the singer, our Founder Art Bouton and our Artistic Director, Drew Zaremba.
